Proliant Announces Measures to Assist BSA (Bovine Albumin) Customers Affected by Serologicals/Celliance Plant Shutdowns

Ankeny, Iowa -- January 12, 2006 -- Proliant Health and Biologicals, the world’s leading, vertically-integrated manufacturer of Bovine Serum Albumin, announced today that they have taken action to assist customers who may experience BSA problems related to Serologicals BSA plant shutdowns.

Effective immediately, the company has undertaken the following measures:

1) Offering substantial product discounts to offset costs incurred for Proliant BSA qualification

2) Confirming that Proliant inventory and production schedules will outpace new demand.

3) Ensuring the availability of no-charge samples from multiple lots for rapid customer qualification.

4) Developing a cross-reference chart to help customers understand Proliant substitutes for any discontinued Toronto products.

5) Increasing the availability of customer service and sales contacts so customers can purchase product directly from the Proliant, the primary manufacturer, and continue to receive outstanding service.
